Digital multichannel seismic station LAKKOLIT-X-M3

LAKKOLIT X-M3 is digital multichannel engineering seismic station designed for engineering geological explorations and microseismic zoning by refracted wave method, seismic refraction method and vertical seismic profiling method.

Features

  • Data rate up to 100 Mb/s
  • Built-in electronic switchboard
  • Data recoding and preliminary processing by embedded signal processors inreal time
  • Improved reliability through increased integration

The station integrates one or several electronic unit LAKKOLIT X-M3. The unit LAKKOLIT X-M3 receives and preliminary processes data from 24 seismic channels. Data is displayed and additional processed in the field by a laptop with application software or a spesial control unit. With LAKKOLIT X-M3 surveys can be performed very efficiently with one operator only.

LAKKOLIT X-M3: Complete set for field operations

1. Digital multichannel seismicstation «LAKKOLIT-X-M3»
2. Laptop or special control unit (SCU)

CSU is designed to control the seismic recording station Lakkolit X-M3. CSU receives and preliminary processes data under hard field conditions (-30 to +50°Ñ, Ip67). SU is based on digital signal processors providing:

  • Review of recorded data in real time at all 24 channels or at every channel separately, and spectral analysis;
  • Data archiving for 10-shift operation;
  • Data rerecording on PC for further processing;
  • 1 Gb flash-memory capacity;
  • Embedded GPS receiver for locating geographical coordinates to be entered into the SEG Y file names;
  • IP67 protection;
  • Low power consumption (6 W);
  • 640x480 color display;
  • Small dimensions and weight.
3. Time break system

The time break system consists of a receiving unit, transmitting unit, receiving antenna, and transmitting antenna. The time break system allows for remote start of the station synchronized with seismic vibration source via radio channel at a distance of up to 500 m.

4. Field seismic cable

The field seismic cable is delivered on customer’s demand. Specifications of the seismic cable (severe operation design is optional), its length, and intergeophone interval can be varied.

5. Geophones

The required number geophones of different types can be delivered on customer’s demand.

6. Mechanical source of seismic transients

To perform seismic operations using refraction and reflection methods various types of seismic transients’ sources are available.

7. Intermittent powder elastic waves source

Intermittent powder elastic wave source serves for depth investigation up to 500 m. As the power source specific cartridges, designed on the basis of hunting cartridges, are used.
